 These words by the David Crowder Band portray what I was thinking as I walked along the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico last week. 

How many times do you just share with your friends what God’s been teaching you?  Do they even ask you?  Do you ask your friends?  Something to think about.

 So last week I was having a bad week.  Things weren’t going the way I thought they should and I had a bad attitude.  I was getting disgusted with the ugliness of my sin and didn’t know why it seemed to come out of nowhere.  Then I realized . . .

Not the sit-com, but real, give-and-take relationships.  It’s not how many you have that makes you significant, but the significance of those relationships that matters.  What is a friend?

 Someone you can count as a myspace buddy? Someone you have class with? A co-worker? The one who knows you better than anyone because you’ve grown up together? A sibling?  Many times we use the title “friend” for all of these people, when in fact, these relationships are very different from one another.  Again I ask, what is a friend?

So I’ve been working on refinishing my dining room table.  I’ve never done anything like this before, so I was excited to try something new.  I can safely say that I’m not excited about it anymore.  It is one month after starting the project and I am about to start over.  This is the story . . .
